Chiang Mai, what an interesting and lovely city.  I stayed in the old walled section of Chiang Mai ... a very historic section.  This old section of Chiang Mai has a wall and moat around most of the city along with many roads leading in and out with minimal traffic problems.  There is a main road that goes completely around this old city and is extremely busy.  The airport is extremely close and all amenities are within walking distance.  The hospital is located just outside the old centre across the busy street.  

There is so much to see and do  inside the old city as well as outside the area.  From nightly markets, tours, special events, entertainment, unbelievable food, and independent sight-seeing there was something for everyones taste.  What I can't get over and how reasonable it is to stay and eat here.  I truly enjoyed every day of my 30 day adventure in this area.  

Please enjoy the stories I have listed above.  Some stories give details of how to get around a specific area and other stories are more personal but hopefully give you the feeling of being there at that event.  Such an amazing time and the local people were so kind.  Such great memories of this area, I will most definitely come back to visit this city.
