KINGS PALACE AND SILVER PAGODA (NOVEMBER 14TH, 2015)
Last day in Phnom Penh. ..
First walk to Independence Monument Park. .. this was under guard on November 9th (Independence Day). The monument on left background is the Independence Monument.
Second stop was the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument.
It was so hot that at noon I headed back to hotel room. Tom … the Tuk tuk driver was there almost everytime I was going in or out of the hotel. Tom is a very honest and trustworthy driver … he always gave the best price. I have attached a phone number if you are looking for a great way of getting around. He will also pick you up or drop you off at the airport.
In the afternoon at 2:30pm I visited the Kings Palace and The Silver Pagoda. It opens in the morning and closes from 11 am to 2pm.
It was a beautiful place to see. Timing was perfect sun and clear sky.
I got a kick out of this … Happy Pizza! It is a pizza with Marijuana spread on top. Didn’t order it … But does show you differences between cultures of what is acceptable … within reason.
Off to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) tomorrow.
