I left early this morning and made my way to Cape Breton. A quick drive through Mabou and stopped at Inverness Beach. It was a little on the windy side, but it was a lovely walk along the beach.

I made my way to Margaree Valley. Such a beautiful area. Always love visiting this area.

Leaving Margaree Valley, I made my way passed Baddeck towards Cabot Trail head. I stopped at many of the river outlets and coves along the way.

I turned onto Oregon Road and drove to North River Provincial Park.

I took the path to Little Falls.

I was amazed at the beauty of this area.

I was so taken by the beauty of this area that I lost track of time. I started to walk out as the sun was going down quickly. I came across a man walking a dog, thinking he was on the trail I went over to where he was standing and said hello. He had his head down as if looking for something and never said a word. I then looked around and couldn't find the path ... I mentioned this out loud and he replied he was having difficulty finding it. I mentioned that I thought it was up on the hill ... it wasn't there. I then said it must be by the river, but I am going back to my last familiar spot and go from there and that I would let him know if I find it. Instead of turning right I went straight ahead and found the path. After hollering to him twice, I thought he must have found his way out ... I tried one more time and he answered ... he had gone quite a distance into the woods in the wrong direction. If he had kept on going, it would have been at least a 3km bushwhacking. When we got out to the vehicles he thanked me for the assistance. Myself, I found a place to park the truck and tried to get a half decent night sleep. LOL
