I never get tired of visiting this area. It is such a beautiful part of Alberta and BC.
After packing up early afternoon I was making my when I noticed something was happening in Fort MacLeod. I stopped in and found out they were shooting for an upcoming movie. I stopped to take a photo and was told I was not permitted and that I also had to keep moving along. A top secret movie shoot, hmmmm.
Continuing on my way, I stopped at the Burmis tree. This is a spot I will often stop or make certain I see this special tree.
I drove to Fernie and found that a concert was on. The concert was an annual event called Wapiti. I looked at the lineup and asked the cost. When they told me it was $50.00 I thought that was for the two days, it turned out to be for each day. It was $89.00 for the two days. They told me that last year it sold out and that if I want to purchase a ticket, if they have any available, that I should consider doing it now for tomorrow. I am glad I did not as it poured all night long.
I drove up to Island Lake that was by a lodge. There was a private function on, but I walked the long way around to avoid crashing their function. The water was calm and serene. Made for a few great photo ops.
I left Fernie and it was starting to get dark. I didn't make it back to where I had planned on staying for the night, but I did make it to Ingham Rest Area that was right beside a lake. I slept in the truck and being long and lanky, at times felt like a pretzel. LOL Rain came down hard through the night, but drowned out any vehicles driving by.

Today was wet and damp. I stopped in for breakfast at Chris' in Coleman, which I heard was awesome.
I had breakfast and it was a huge! An omelet with hash browns and a side plate with French toast was one order!!
It was very good.
I made my way back to the Frank Slide Interpretive Center and the staff were so helpful and polite.
I truly have to thank Celina.
She has such a lovely personality, and goes above and beyond. I remembered her from last year and was very surprised when she said she remembered my brother and I visiting last year. Yesterday and today she went out of her way to get me directions to go to a special place to camp for the night. Thank you so much for all your efforts, Celina.
I sat here working out the details of my day. Where it was a rainy, foggy kind of day this limited my options.
After driving to check out the camp site, I made my way to meet Brandi and the kids. It was such a lovely visit, what a lady. 😊
