July 2nd to 6th, 2019

July 2nd, 2019

I must first establish how important it is to use your GPS.  Whenever I would go to visit my brother in Nelson,  I would go through the Crowsnest Pass and keep heading west.   Thinking this to be the best way,  I was driving and admiring the scenery.  I knew from a quick research, before I left,  that to get to my destination it would take about 8.5 to 9.5 hours ... or so I thought.

After about 9 hours,  I thought I would call my brother Peter and ask him how much further.   Peter asked me where I was and I informed him I was in Grand Forks.   After a moment of dead silence he asked me what I was doing way down there.  Hahaha

My response was one of surprise and I stated that I must have taken the wrong road.   LOL  Peter then told me I had approximately another 3 hours to go.   It took me 12 hours to get to his doorstep ... the sad part is that I had a GPS in the truck,  I just didn't use it. I won't make that mistake again.   Hahaha

July 3rd, 2019

This was an organizing day as we had to get packed up to head to Vancouver in  the morning.   Rest is what I needed.   Not a good idea to try and get your suit pressed a day before leaving, not many places do this on the same day as passed in ... 24 hour service is a way of the past.   I was fortunate that one place did it for me,  but it was costly.

After we dropped the suit off,  we had a couple hours until we could pick it up.   Peter took me down to the Kelowna waterfront.   Such a lovely area.

We left this morning and made our 4.5 hour drive to Vancouver.   After checking into the hotel we headed to the rehearsal outside the brewery.

Peter teasing Lina ... always joking ... a couple love birds.

Lina and I posing for the catalogue.  LOL

One of the few pics of Peter and I without making faces.  LOL

A serious moment for Carlo ... first time I have seen him without a smile.

Okay,  you can draw your own conclusions about father and son. Hahaha

The two inseparable brothers - friends.

Carlo escorting his mother ... practice only.

It was certainly fun to watch the rehearsal and just stay in the background.

We then went into the brewery and had fantastic finger food and beer.   A lot of laughs ... what a great group.

Today is the big day!   Carlo and Britney say their vows. It was raining just up to the time of the wedding and then it stopped.  You could not ask for better weather for photography and an outside wedding.

The beautiful bride and her parents.

The handsome groom with his mother.

The handsome groom with his father ... both having fun.

Special thank you by the newly married couple.

Posing with this lovely lady.

July 6th, 2019

Got up this morning and headed back to Kelowna.

It was such a wonderful time in Vancouver.   Thank you to Peter and Lina for their hospitality.   Thank you Carlo and Britney for inviting me to your special occasion,  you are such beautiful people.

Jaime,  thank you for the laughs ... made my day and also to Dulce for the dance.   I had an absolutely amazing time.
