A very busy day today ... wow!
First, and most important, my son Jordan arrived as a surprise ... he drove down from Northern Alberta and didn't bother to get sleep. He only had a short time off.
Charlie took the two of us down to the lowland where we visited a pond filled with turtles.

Got some great pics and talk about a lot of painted turtles.

We made our way to another area where we observed white pelicans that make there way to Lethbridge every year.

I had shared with Charlie a few days ago how I am wanting to photographs some owls. From the white pelicans we took a different path and Charlie was telling us where he had seen an owl a while back. While going around a corner, Charlie says, "Sometimes you can see an owl on a branch. " We went around the corner and there was an owl on a branch! Both Jordan and I thought Charlie was setting us up (not that Charle would ever pull a peak like this LOL) ... we thought that he had placed a stuffed owl on a branch ... it was too much of a coincidence. LOL😂
However, it was a real owl! HAHAHA I got some shots of a Great Horned Owlet!

Jordan and I decided to head to West Castle and try our luck with fishing. After hiking down a step embankment we fished for a few hours but no luck.

Such a beautiful spot though.

We then made our way to Lundbreck Falls. After about 20 minutes Jordan caught, and released, his first ever bull trout. An exciting moment.

We ended our day at the local brewery.

It was a great day!
