Something Special About Sevilla

Date of Events : April 23rd, 2019

They say a free upgrade for car rental ... not a good idea here ... took awhile for van to make the corner.  Rent small vehicles in Spain.  LOL

Alameda de Hercules is the name of this square.

A beautiful Church.   I went inside and a lovely float and gorgeous interior.   I did not take any photos inside as there was a service taking place.

Even though this looks like a castle it is the remnants of a historic wall.

You can see buildings on the other side as well as roads. This is the beginning of the old town of Sevilla from this side.

The Cathedral Sevilla bell tower from a narrow street.

The statue of La Inmaculada Concepcion an iconic statue by the Cathedral Sevilla.  Sun shining on statue was perfect worth blue sky background.

A statue in a corner by the Cathedral caught my attention.  Monumento Juan Pablo II was shining brightly today.

While walking on a narrow street I spotted this on the side of a church, Iglesia del Salvador. Certainly photo worthy.

Across the square wad another Church with interesting architecture. This Church was called Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Paz.

The view of the front of Iglesia del Salvador.

So many churches everywhere in Sevilla.   How they manage to keep all up and running is a mystery. This Church, Capilla de San Jose , was quite lovely and spotted on a narrow street.

There are many pastry shops down each street,  but this window display certainly looked inviting.  The photo certainly does not do the display justice.

And so ends my adventure in this lovely place.   I truly enjoyed it here and especially to partake in the Easter festivities. So long Sevilla.
