I forgot about the time change from coming to Sevilla from Portugal. I was thinking it was 9:30 am, but it was actually 10:30 am. I heard the drums and thought oh my they are starting the last procession early.
When I realized, I headed out so quickly I forgot my phone. After taking a few photos with my good camera I ran back and got my phone.
Being Easter Sunday this was very spiritual.
There were not many people at this location so I managed to get some wonderful pics.
The bands were amazing and the acoustics incredible.
The procession went into the church and eventually came out the other side. The church was closed this morning for obvious reasons.
The Alcazar of Seville had a line up over 3 blocks long to get inside. By purchasing a ticket online the lineup was only about 20 people.
The monument La Inmaculada Concepcion was very popular for photography.
I was waliing towards Plaza de España, and saw this lovely fountain ... Torre de Oro.
I made my way to Plaza de España and did not know I had arrived. I took this pic of the statue and was going to keep going when ...
... I looked to my left and saw this magnificent building.
I continued to walk along the building to realize it was huge and opened to the Plaza.
A beautiful fountain in the middle of the court.
In the centre of this building a large crowd had gathered around. Of course I had to check it out.
There were flamenco dancers ... very impressive I must say ... such raw emotion. And the musicians were great.
This statue was built in honor of the lady the park is named after, Parque Maria Luisa.
Monumento Gustavo Adolfo Becquer was quite unique. The statues were built around a tree.
I like this view of the Cathedral y Giralda.
More chairs in another block. They have been stacking them since yesterday.
I wish one and all a very Happy Easter.
