Woke up this morning to FROST!!! Yikes, was it ever cold. LOL
After quickly packing up and getting on the road, we made a stop at Lover’s Leap and Mexican Hill where the old waggon (that is how they spelled it back in the day) road used to go.
The next stop was Cottonwood Historic Village. Not much here, but still got some great fall photo’s.
Took a forestry road and found a place to string a line and dry out our camping gear. LOL
Next stop is Quesnel, and we have gone full circle … now, for the surprise birthday! After finally getting our rooms and cleaned up, we headed over to Uncle Gordon's. His party was tomorrow, but many people were going over to his place this afternoon and we wanted to spend as much time with family as we could.
We pulled in and everyone was sitting outside enjoying the coolness of the air. The party was on. LOL
The evening was young, but we so are we. HaHaHa
To my surprise, I was introduced to this lady and gentleman beside me. It took a long time for it to register that this was my cousin Yvonne and her partner! I have never met her and her partner before so this was a bonus for me.
My cousin Lianne, was a joy to see and has been super busy on her farm along with other weekend commitments ... still can light up a room with her smile.
And then there is my other cousin, Sherry ... we are pretty close to being the same heighth (when I am on my knees LOL). She is such a joy!
Sherry's partner, Jon, was introduced to Sherry's relatives ... almost sent him running away. LOL A very nice guy.
Sherri's son, Darrell and family were also able to make it and what a fantastic group ... Darrell, Tracianne, Eli and their 3 children.
The weekend got off to a fantastic start ... :)
