Only drove about 65km and stayed the night at Meziadin Lake Provincial Park.
I was planning on staying longer because of a fish ladder that was on a side road near this park.
After setting up my tent, it started to rain and it was a good time for me to drive down to check out the ladder. The water level seemed high and there were only a few fish jumping. I chatted with a local first nations person and he indicated that the bear has not been around this year yet. That it was around almost every day last year, but that the spawning salmon are running late this year.
I headed back to camp and cleaned the truck … day is done.

I slowly worked my way down to Terrace region. On the way, I stopped at Kitwancool to see the ancient totem poles. Most of the originals are gone as some are being displayed in the BC Museum.
Some amazing totems were on display. On one totem, I had to do a double look ... at first I thought it was part of the totem, but it was a real crow perched on top. LOL
I stopped in Kitwanga to first see Gitwangak Battle Hill. This was very unique as the First Nations lived on top of the hill and when an opposing enemy tried to attack, they rolled logs down the hill which would crush their enemy.
I then visited the old Church, St. Paul, that was built in 1889. It had a bell tower beside it which was very unique.
Arrived in Lakelse Lake Provincial Park at a good time, but had to wait twenty minutes for the computer to register for a new day. It cost $28.00 per night here! The most I have paid yet, it seems to be getting more expensive the more south I go. LOL
After getting a nice campsite, I headed back to Terrace to go to the Information Center. I got some great information about some places to visit. Today, I will get at least one of my blogs completed, as I am way behind. LOL
Went back to campsite and walked down to the lake ... what a gorgeous sunset!
