Good breakfast and working on catching up on Blogs. It is suppose to rain this morning, but clear this afternoon and I will make my attempt to get out to the cave this afternoon. That was a wise choice as it did rain hard this morning.
I drove the 6km outside of El Calafate to Punta Walichu, an Argentinian historic site. There is a small cave, but most important is the ancient paintings on the walls of this cliff.

For 150 pesos, you get a headset that takes you from point to point and the site is very nicely done. I was very impressed. This may not appeal to those that do not have an interest in ancient sites, but I was in my glory. What made it even more special is that there was only one other person there and we only saw each other once … I enjoyed the isolated walk along the path, listening to the recording and seeing the pictographs. It was a great way to spend the afternoon, under sun and cloud.
