Travel USA - Pensacola Jan. 15-18

Woke up on January 16th and had a great breakfast by the beach. You can eat your breakfast inside or outside. After eating breakfast and taking it easy in the morning, Nancy gets up at about 12:30 in the afternoon LOL.

After waking up we went for a short walk on the beach to enjoy the early afternoon. We then took it easy for a little while. Later in the afternoon we took a short drive up back across the first bridge to Gulf Breeze and bought some groceries at Walmart. We then drove down almost to the point of Fort Pickens to watch the sunset and have a slice of pizza that we picked up at Pizza Hut. As the sunset we drove back to our hotel to eat the rest of the pizza and have with some beer it was sooooo goooood!

Saw this on the beach .... don't know exactly what it is. It was spongy like a jellyfish.

Next day we just stayed on the beach and took it easy for the entire day.

Nancy and I got up for breakfast, packed and headed on the road for a slow easy going drive along the coastline to Panama City Beach ... our next stop.

Many of the newer homes are built on stilts to assist in minimizing flooding issues. A lot of beautiful homes in the area.

We get to our hotel in Panama City Beach area. We were suppose to have a room facing the parking lot, but Lasandra was so kind to upgrade our room to one that had a kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the beach ... such a great lady, and a great view. We stayed at Beach Break Hotel. The interesting thing is I asked not to be on the first floor and she asked if the third floor was okay. It turned out that the third floor was the ground level and the first and second floor were steps down towards the beach. An old hotel, but kept in clean and good condition.

When we walked into our room and went to the balcony, the sun was beginning to set ... what a beautiful sunset. The photo's do not do the sunset justice.
