Travelling USA - New Orleans

Got up early in the morning to urban hike up to Bourbon Street. After getting up at 7am, I headed out in the fog taking pics of different buildings, doors, windows. Each building had a unique design or feature which makes the French Quarter very unique.

Many of the homes have shutters that they use daily. A lot of these homes have a great deal of character added.

A sad part of history in New Orleans. Nancy and I were staying in this area for the last 3 days. I saw this sign and it certainly gives a different perspective on an area. A piece of history that could have been missed if I did not see this sign.

The following sign shares the success of one individual. Below this photo is the picture of his home.

A couple of trees covered in beads and masks.

A house deck railing starting to prepare for Mardi Gras.

Nancy had to have a Hurricane Slushie ... included Vodka. After she drank about a third, she informed me there was not much alcohol, that is until she stood up LOL.

Inside the St. Louis Cathedral by the Jackson Square in New Orleans. This Cathedral was Founded in 1718, Established as a Parish in 1720 and was designated as a Basilica in 1964. I believe I read that it is the longest active Church in USA.

Nancy and I pose on the banks of the Mississippi River.

I loved the look of this door.
