Travel USA - Roanoke, Virginia to Nashville, Tennessee

We left Roanoke at about 8:30am and only made one stop for fuel and one coffee break stop at MacDonald's. We arrived in Nashville at approximately 3:30pm.

Road view from crossing into Tennessee from West Virginia.

Pic of Nashville road sign.

We arrived at our hotel and while carrying our bags to the room, Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile drove into the parking lot. We unloaded our gear and had to do our first Life After Retirement outside video here LOL. We stayed at Knight's Inn. The room was old, but very clean - no complaints. They are doing major renovations at this hotel and will be a lovely place once done.

Walked over to the stadium and their last game was a week ago ... damn.

From our hotel it is a 15 minute walk to downtown area. This was our view during our walk across the bridge.

We ran into an old friend of mine and had to stop for a photo op. The next day we saw this same Elvis in a different location and i thought it was moved. Nancy informed me that she has seen quite a few of Elvis's on our walk ... I don't think I drank that much LOL.

Looked around for a place to eat. Couldn't find the place I was looking for, so we ended up at Hooters. We ordered Appetizers and found they were half price. When they brought the orders, we couldn't believe how big the sliders were ... almost the same size as the burgers in Canada! Glad we only ordered 2 appetizers [sliders and boneless wings], and they were very tasty.
